Publication in Thrombosis & Haemostasis

The IPAM analysis regarding anticoagulation therapy of patient with atrial fibrillation (AF) in Germany was published in “Thrombosis and Haemostasis”. The study was funded by Boehringer Ingelheim and supported by two German sickness funds (Techniker Krankenkasse, AOK Plus). The results of the study show that anticoagulation under-treatment of AF patients forms a serious real life health care problem. Furthermore, under-treatment significantly increases rates of cardiovascular events. The publication is available here.
