Adherence-Competence-Center (ACC)
IPAM is positioned as one of the leading international institutions focusing on medication adherence, compliance and persistence research. As a recent report from the World Health Organization shows (WHO-Report), this area of research is highly relevant to health care provision outcomes and costs, but has been neglected for decades. The IPAM’s Adherence Competence Center (ACC) provides a cluster of competences in this dynamic research area.
A wide range of research partners benefit from our expertise;
• Pharmaceutical companies acquire data concerning the adherence behavior of patients supplied with the firms’ products. Using our data and with our professional support, special adherence programs can be developed and evaluated
• Medical insurance funds employ our experts to analyze the secondary data held by the funds, and extract valuable information about the adherence behavior of their own members. With the aid of our own models, we evaluate the efficiency of adherence programs run by insurance funds
• We support innovative service providers in the development, testing, and evaluation of their adherence programs. For an example, see the website of one of our partners/sponsors (www.gesucare.com).
